Data retention policy
How long SafeNest keeps each kind of information.

Draft for legal review. SafeNest Hamburg is preparing for commercial launch; a German lawyer must confirm this text before it is relied upon.
Retention periods
- Identity documents: deleted once identity verification is decided, and at the latest 90 days afterwards.
- Ownership, management, rental contract and sublet permission documents: kept while the listing is active plus 12 months, as evidence that the check was done.
- Verification results, badges, dates and certificate IDs: kept while the listing is active plus 3 years.
- Bookings, reports, complaints and decision-log entries: 3 years.
- Verification fee records: 10 years, as German tax law requires.
- Account data: deleted on request unless a legal duty requires us to keep it.
Deletion
Ask for deletion at privacy@safenesthamburg.com. We confirm what was deleted and what had to be retained, with the reason.
