Price and fee policy

Who pays SafeNest, what for and when.

Students

Students pay SafeNest nothing. There is no search, booking, reservation or success fee.

Landlords and property managers

  • One-time verification fee of €10 including VAT per property address.
  • Charged after SafeNest approves the property and before it is published.
  • The total price is shown in full before you confirm; nothing is added at the last step.
  • Payment is taken by our payment provider by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. SafeNest never sees or stores card details.

Subletters

Tenant subletters and student subletters pay no fee during the Hamburg pilot. They still complete the same verification.

Rent and deposits

Rent and deposits are paid directly by the student to the landlord. SafeNest never collects, holds, forwards or escrows that money, and never asks a student to pay SafeNest for a room.
