Prohibited listings

Never allowed

• Properties the lister has no right to rent out.
• Requests for money, deposits or 'reservation fees' before a viewing.
• Requests to pay outside the agreed landlord bank transfer, for example gift cards or crypto.
• Rooms advertised at one price and charged at another.
• Selection criteria based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• Listings for properties outside the Hamburg pilot area during the pilot.
• Fake, duplicated or recycled listings and stock photography.

Consequences

SafeNest removes the listing, records the decision in the internal decision log, informs the lister with the reason, and may close the account and inform the authorities where fraud is suspected.
